Eyebrow Transplant

An eyebrow hair transplant involves taking hair from the back of the head to the eyebrow region where it is either missing or patchy in growth.

Eyebrow Hair Transplant Method

An eyebrow transplant is a surgical procedure where hair is taken from the back of the head (donor area) and transplanted into the eyebrow region (recipient area). This is done to either fill gaps in the eyebrows or restore an eyebrow damaged by burns or overplucking.

Sometimes due to medical conditions or genetics, some patients do not have any eyebrow hair therefore a full eyebrow transplant is required. The process is done under local anaesthetic and there is minimal scarring and recovery is often quite straight forward.

Are eyebrow transplants permanent?

Eyebrow transplants last a lifetime so should be permanent in most people. Some people affected by medication, stress, medical conditions or certain medication use may notice eyebrow thinning however in most patients, the transplanted hair is expected to permanent.

Can men and women have eyebrow transplants?

Yes, both men and women can have eyebrow transplants. Thinning eyebrows can be for many reasons. People can have thin eyebrows for many reasons such as certain medication use, stress, genetics, over-plucking, hormonal changes and scarring.

Some people are born with very thin or fine eyebrow hair so they need to resort to using extensions or skin pigmentation (SMP) to create a dense eyebrow look. For such people eyebrow transplants are a natural permanent solution.

Does transplanted eyebrow hair keep growing?

Transplanted eyebrow hair is taken from the donor hair at the back of the head; therefore, it keeps growing and behaves like the donor area does. This means that it will require periodically trimming and maintain like the donor hair does, usually once a month. Over time, the transplanted hair can adjust to behave like normal eyebrows do.

Hoe much does an eyebrow transplant cost?
